I love sailing the Daedalus. I have sailed her twice in the back bay and I have always dreamed of sailing her in the gulf (and hopefully not getting sea sick). So I am optomistic that the spill can be capped before very much damage can be done. Is there a possibility that the oil can affect the back bay? I guess saying all of that is very selfish of me. I am also concerned about the beauty of the area and the wildlife. I am interested in why the well did not work properly and stop the flow of oil at the time of the explosion.
Hoping the spill hasn’t reached the Bay yet. Hope all is well for the Captain, crew and Daedalus. Media not painting very good pictures for Gulf Shores. Hope solution is in sight and things will get back to normal soon.

I came down here from northeastern part of the U.S. I was expecting to see the coastal beaches covered in oil. The news media surely kept vacationers away from a beautiful place. If there is oil all over these beaches, It surely isn’t what is advertised. I brought my family down here shortly after I saw how beautiful this place was. This was an amazing trip for my family, because Captian BJ made it that way for us. Thanks to his crew and the Daedalus!!
